Down the Bayou & Down the Bayou and Again -

- A Collection of Favorite Recipes

What started as a group of committed local volunteers collecting recipes to publish a community cookbook as a fundraiser for the Bayou Civic Club, Inc. has grown into a cultural phenomenon that has spread not only locally but nationally as well. The cultural identity of the South Lafourche community is forever defined in these two unique masterpieces.

In these collections of recipes, each book offers "something extra" including a bit of heritage mixed in with a little bit of spice. In each 256 page, spiral-bound, hard-cover book, there are over 400 recipes, some never before published. As "lagniappe" in each book, is original artwork and fascinating narratives inviting all to join the good life here - "Down the Bayou."

Capture the Cajun spirit and relive it everyday with this keepsake and valuable addition to any cookbook collection. Let us entice you to sample our file` gumbo or make our one-of-a-kind bread pudding from a recipe passed down through the generations.

Learn the secrets and pass down the heritage, we welcome all to become a little bit Cajun as everyone is invited to come "Down the Bayou!"
