The Larose Regional Park and Civic Center was opened in May of 1981 and has become the home for a diverse cross-section of programs which promote cultural and economic development along with good health in the community.
The Larose Regional Park features:
- half-mile cement walking track
- four lighted tennis courts
- cement basketball courts
- baseball diamonds
- soccer fields
- volleyball courts
- Bantam football field
- 160,000 gallon public swimming pool and facility
- outside gathering pavilions
- new playground equipment
- Outdoor Volleyball

The Bayou Civic Club serves the South Lafourche community. It also serves as a tourist center. Among the attractions for tourist are the camp grounds, the park, community attractions and of course, our famous festivals. The French Food Festival, Family Fun Festival, and the A Bayou Christmas are held on the Civic Center grounds each year. The park also facilitates the parking of campers and motor homes. Tourists are welcome any time of the year.
